Blown Film Lines: BXL Series
Macro delivers advanced blown film systems that are customized to individual customer requirements. From single layer systems to 9-layer coextrusion systems, Macro builds blown film solutions using superior technology, materials and workmanship.
Macro's BXL Series of multilayer blown film lines are designed to produce high performance barrier, printing and laminating films in an efficient and cost effective manner. Each line incorporates the latest technology, highest quality parts and superior workmanship for producing coextruded structures with exceptional quality.
Every blown film line is a versatile system capable of producing a variety of structures using different combinations of resins and layer configurations. The unique blown film die design of the BXL Series provides the flexibility to process traditional barrier resins, such as PA and EVOH, and through Macro's encapsulation technology PVdC can also be incorporated into the multilayer structure.

1. Blown Film Line BXL-7160 7-Layer Barrier Blown Film Line 2. Extruders MacroPlast extruders are designed to provide superior melt quality and throughput for a wide range of polymers of varying rheology. Because they are efficient and reliable, their operating costs are low and maintenance is minimal. 3. Coextrusion Die At the heart of Macro's multilayer blown film systems lies the advanced technology of its stackable TaperPack and MacroPack coextrusion die designs. Whether you require a multilayer polyolefin film system or a multilayer barrier film system, Macro will deliver value in configuring the best system for your needs. The MacroPack coextrusion die is available in sizes between 14" (356 mm) to 50" (1270 mm). The TaperPack coextrusion die is available in sizes between 0.375" (10 mm) to 14" (356 mm). 4. Bubble Cooling The patented design of Macro Engineering's D-10 Series Dual Lip Air Rings is the most advanced, efficient and versatile in its class. The enhanced cooling technology of the D-10 Series ensures the best output rates attainable. When combined with state-of-the-art Internal Bubble Cooling (IBC) Systems the output is dramatically increased and the size, shape and thickness of the bubble remains stable and precise. 5. Bubble Cage Macro's patented multi-leveled bubble stabilizing cage provides enhanced bubble stability for optimum layflat and gauge uniformity. The low-friction segmented contact surfaces reduce drag and the patented design guarantees improved bubble support through a wide range of bubble diameters. 6. Collapsing Frame Macro's collapsing frames provide superior handling of the extruded bubble resulting in excellent finished film properties. Macro's collapsing frames come with different collapsing surface options for diverse types of applications, guaranteeing the best collapsing solution for your type of film. 7. Oscillating Nip Macro's horizontal oscillating nip provides excellent gauge randomization for a superior finished roll profile. It is capable of operating at low tensions, making it the ideal randomization system for thin, tacky and/or stretchable films. The horizontal oscillating nip keeps the web path length between the primary and secondary nips constant thereby assisting in maintaining stable web tension. Macro also manufactures vertical oscillating nip systems for randomizing medium to thick gauge films running with high tension values. 8. Surface Winders The line may be completed with one or more surface winders, depending on the application. Macro's winders provide flexibility and guarantee perfect roll symmetry with automated roll changeovers. Macro's surface winders can run in all winding modes (surface, surface with center assist, and gap mode). 9. Turret Winders Alternatively, the line may be completed with one or more center-driven, automatic turret winders. Macro has developed a world-class expertise in advanced winding equipment. |
