Macro's proprietary technology provides various options for unique applications of specialty films and sheet.
Blown Film Lines
Barex Film Lines
These lines are used to produce Barex films used in medical and food packaging applications.
PVC Film Lines
These lines are used for the production of PVC film used in a number of applications, such as:
- 3-layer PVC film for greenhouse applications using additives such as antifog and UV inhibitors in the individual layers;
PVC films for cling wrap applications;
- PVC stretch films for food and meat wrap applications;
- PVC rigid film for lamination applications.
PS Film Lines
These blown film lines are used for the production of PS film used for envelope windows and heat-shrinkable labels for bottles.
EVOH/PVdC Film Lines
These lines are used for the production of barrier films for specialty applications such as fruit juice and milk packaging, using EVOH or PVdC to maximize the product's shelf life.
Biodegradable Film Lines
These blown film lines are used to produce PLA or polyester-based films used in degradable packaging.
Cast Film/Sheet Lines
PVB Sheet Lines
These cast sheet lines are used for the production of PVB sheet used in automotive safety glass, and architectural glass. PVB sheets exhibit outstanding optical properties, mechanical strength, dampening properties and UV resistance. For these reasons, they are used in automobile windshields, bulletproof glass, safety glass, architechural glass, soundproof glass, along with many other applications.
HDPE Sheet Lines
These sheet lines are used to make shallow thermoformed sheet for the building and construction industry.
Geomembrane Sheet Lines
These lines are used to produce PE sheet for geomembrane applications, such as pond liners and water reservoir liners for water conservation.
PVC Cast Film Lines
These cast lines are used for the production of PVC film for blood bag applications. The PVC bags typically have a matt surface finish.
PVdC Cast Film Lines
These lines are used to produce multilayer films with barrier structures such as EVA/PVdC/EVA for medical applications, such as colostomy bags.
Extrusion Coating/Lamination Lines
PVdC Extrusion Coating Lines
These lines are used for coating PVC sheet with a thin layer of PVdC for blister packs used in medical and other applications. Sheets of PP, Nylon and APET can also be coated with PVdC for thermoforming applications in food and medical applications.
PVdC Extrusion Lamination Lines
These lines are used for lamination of flexible packaging materials where EVA/PVdC/EVA melt or PE/tie/EVOH/tie/PE melt is used for laminating materials such as BOPP, BOPET, BOPA and paper.
EVA Thermal Lamination Lines
These lines are used to laminate EVA film/sheet on various substrates, such as paper and paperboard for beverage packaging applications.
